the only drawback for all these distros is that the need to sacrifice features because some idiod at M4 had the idea of soldering the RAM instead of having a regular bank. And that’s the only reason we’re not all having a bunch of Xboxes at $40 a pop from eBay running all kinds of things. I use xdsl on my Xbox and as a dashboard I use xbmc.
It´s the best combination for a mediacenter in your living room.
With a wireless keyboard and mouse you can check your e-mails and surf in the internet like you do it with a normal windows pc(:
But you have to understand that most of the websites don´t fit with a normal tv.
For everyone who want Linux just for e-mail and surfing on his Xbox should use Xdsl..its very fast compering it to Xdebian or Gentoox!
It Always takes a little while even when booting on a normal PC. its checking the devices and getting them ready. You can in theory since its always doing hardware checks reuse the HDD inanother PC without worying about driver issues *sometimes* ill be using this video for a reffrence, Thanks Matthacker.
