yep thanks
So Totally agree
Someone needs to challenge Intel in this market fast.
lol ok
yep true
yep i will and i won’t be reinstalling linux on it until then either
Nice video when 10.04 is out you should make a new video of: XP, Ubuntu netbook, Kubuntu netbook, Xubuntu and Lubuntu
cool netbook dude nice linux on it
ANy desktop environment from linux is awesome
amen
i will load this game if u add me as a friend
what is really fun is putting linux on a new pc or netbook with windows so so you can have that thought in your mind that your flipping off microsoft and peeing in their face while laughing…i also peel the sticker off just to add to the effect. if you havent done this my fellow youtubers try it. it is a nice feeling to know you are one less member of microsofts evil empire and one more member of the best and fastest growing os ever!!!!
And, Lubuntu is much faster than Xubuntu, which means Lubuntu will be the next-gen Xubuntu once it’s released as stable for 10.04
Now, everyone is talking about the new Ubuntu-based distro called ” Lubuntu “. Now, people say that Xubuntu is for slow machines BUT, it’s been actually tested that XFCE (Xubuntu’s env.) is slower than GNOME. I have found this about a month ago or so.. you should take a look at it.
I personally like Google. I think their great. I just get a little paranoid when I know that they know everything about everyone. Lol.
Here in the states, the government has been known to subpoena Google for info on it’s citizens. After George W. Bush Jr. signed into law that they could keep tabs on its citizens, pretty much everyone’s privacy rights have been compromised.
It’s not Google’s fault they HAVE to comply with the laws, but if this government wanted to they could abuse it.
yep
Google is in the top 5 of Linux supports, so don’t bash them if you love Linux
I use Mint 8 (gnome) what issues are you talking about? If so, I’ll just switch to Ubuntu instead. I got Mint because it was easy and I liked the way it was organized and because of the appearance.
I have noticed that when I tried to update the repos they show that they failed to process. Or maybe it’s just a glitch. Am I right? Have you experience this too?
@ThingsontheWeb; If you look at Tim’s videos he doesn’t like big companies like Microsoft and Apple because of their business practices primarily, but also because they don’t give their software freely.
Google does give their software freely like Google Chrome, Chrome OS and all of their apps. The only thing that sucks about Google is that you lose your privacy since they keep a record of everything you do on the internet stored in their servers which they do keep private from others, but….
@OSyTim Google restricts, but not nearly as bad. it’s true OS. not Apple’s version of OS.
propitiatory supporting companies suck
@OSGUIShow lol I thought you hated big company … lol … Just messing with ya mate.
@OSGUIShow Thats understandable lol
im the same way except with trial and error involved
lol… Fluxbox kicks ass, man… you’re missing out
oh yeh I know, I spend a hour deleting KDE out of my netbook last night after I made this video, and yeah I have cleaned it up now, its faster… also removed un-wanted services
I don’t want Mint or fluxbox because I don’t like fluxbox interface its not normal lol and Mint has some issues with some repos i want to use
just to try them out and for this video demo
i deleted kde after i made this lol
