well, one has to get the network adapter working… unfortunately, I do not remember which one I picked during install… you have the same computer? Do you know where I could check(I’m no wiz when it comes to OS X)

lool yeah linux mint 8 is comming out soon its based on 9.10 and will have ubuntu software center but renamed linux software center. i hope u enjoy linuxmint ubuntu 9.10 gave me few problems tho. ill update after the update patches for 9.10 are out or when linuxmint 8 is out.

Hey, I’ll give that a try… have you tried the last release of Ubuntu, Karmic Koala? It has some new stuff which I guess is exclusive for Ubuntu(Ubuntu Software Center)… anywho, gotta download Linux Mint now.. it got me curius… guess I’ll have a quadruple boot in a couple of hours

@Fatlingon, ubuntu is great you shouuld also try the new upcoming linuxmint 8 .. i beta tested it and its fantastic you get with it everything from ubuntu plus java/flash/codecs/ and more programs and better wireless drivers. dont get me wrong i used ubuntu for 2 years before i switched to linuxmint. i use mint 7 now

@Raja221 on my laptop I use Ubuntu exlusivly, just made the tripple boot thing for fun. I have very little use for vista, and OS X was more of a curiosity that I could show my Mac loving friends.

which of the 3 do you prefer? I run linuxmint and im in love with it VERY STABLE .. i like ubuntu but when i tried mint 6 months ago i got stuck to it

Well, quite frankly I do not know… The Compaq CQ61 does have a NVidia graphics card, but most pro gamers play on desktop computers since the graphic cards are more powerfull due to the availible physical space which can support bigger cards. I’ve never tried any 3D game except for the creature editor for Spore, which worked “OK”.
