seahatfunches, i don’t think the tempts tried to replace David with someone who sounds like David, Dennis voice is more powerful, David is more gritty, different sounds and styles, I must say that Damon did sound like eddie, but glenn and tyson sound good, not saying they are better singers than eddie but they fit nicely in the group, richard has a complete different voice than Paul who was a great barritone and dancer, richard has that buttery tenor and great dancer and performer

hmm its kind of odd how when ever one member was fired or quit such as david ruffin and eddie kendricks, they replaced them with someone they thought would kind of take their place VOICE wise. such as eddies replacement has a hiqh pitch voice. and davidz replacement kinda has a stronq voice..not as stronq as davidz but stronq. never payed attention to that until today. i think the oriqinal tempts were better then the endinq tempts. eddie, paul, bleu, otis, and david

This version is great. The version I just listened to from 1972 was great. I just watched them live last night in concert and was very disappointed. The lead singer for this song screamed the song. Otis Williams, however, was amazingly wonderful! I LOVED his performance and was AWED by his energy. He has maintained his voice his whole 48 years of being a Temptin’ Temptation!
