i had ubuntu on my ps3 and took it off to put on ydl 6.2 on. everything went smooth but i cannot get an internet connection. when i go to network settings it shows my network but won’t connect. even if i unhook my wireless and hook directly to ps3 it shows wired connection but wont connect. any suggestions?

once i hit 720p it stays black and doensnt go into next menu i tryed buringing the cd many times and re formattign and installing all i see is black screen

Actually my system is almost 2 years old so it is newer. is the 50% slower version 6.1 worth trying or not?

was just a little irratated yesterday!! Anyways I finally installed it successfully today. Problem is when it reboots I’m not greeted..it goes to first boot settings like firewall settings etc. I was not prompted to enter a logon name just the password before reboot!! so after the settings screen i’m prompted to input logon then password..can’t because all i put in was a password..I came to the conclusion this must be incompatiable. My system is a 80gb 3 years old. The x hardware issue ? anyone?

Mine would not install due to a x hardware issue like someone below in 480i and did not recognize ps3 partition Ya know the more they try and make it like a comput. Sony will be left to sell packages on the com. dealing with microsft programs!! because they just can’t seem to keep up they can’t even give us a upgrade to go on facebook!!! Thats why I wanted to try this wasted my time Good luck selling their next system, because they probally won’t have 1 unless it’s with 3d media streaming boxs!!

i downloaded everything formatted also and alloted 10gb to other os but when im at the step that says kboot i typ in install_ps3_1080i and it says not found i dont know what to do please help?!

im still installing the shit from softpedia, after it downloads do i just copy n paste it to a dvd-r? or do i need sum kinda special program, or do i just burn it? also, my dvd-r disks are 1-16X speed is dat good enough to put the software in? (4.7 GB)

I installed linux ubuntu 9.04 on my PS3 and it works great. Any ydl or linux ubuntu will work fine, it”s what ever u like and works best for u. Also up grade your hard drive before installing ydl or ubuntu you don”t have to but I up graded my hard drive and installed ubuntu. I noticed my ubuntu is running much more smoothly with a bigger drive. just a suggestion.
