what about installing from windows? I’ve tryed to install Ubuntu 10.04 from Windows, but when I boot up into Ubuntu, it sends me to the grub, and when I try to execute the boot cmd, it says that there is no kernel loaded, any help?

  2. carlos10571 says:

iWill have to download the iso again, the filesystem broke while booting from grub. =(

  3. OSGUIShow says:

umm na because I do not recommend installing Windows after Linux its too much trouble

  4. TheArnabDas says:

    nice video. 5/5

btw could u show us how to install windows after ubuntu has been installed? thats the one which happens to be the more difficult to do, coz u have to change grub entries and stuff.

  5. TheArnabDas says:

its IS a bug. has discussed to death on ubuntuforums. lol

  6. Pwner5889 says:

hhmm It should give you an option to ignore it.

  7. OSGUIShow says:

    a few years old

I can’t find a way to stop the warning message

  8. Pwner5889 says:

I think it might have been fixed by now. I don’t know. I would have to check. I just told ubuntu to ignore it. How old is the HDD?

  9. OSyTim says:

yep coz we have koalas in the trees lol

  10. OSyTim says:

really? That laptop is still reporting faulty HDD… when its in Windows the HDD buzzes strangely…

  11. Pwner5889 says:

Ignore ubuntu when it says that the HDD is going bad. That is a bug. It’s been fixed already. I have done numerous tests on my HDD after ubuntu said my HDD was going bad. None of the programs I used said my HDD was going bad.

cant fix the chair i have tried

i have other video tutorials that are screencasts or have picture-in-picture like you want

  18. tubexert says:

Very knowledgeable and well-spoken host! BUT would be much much better obviously with direct screen video rather than waving the laptop in front of the camera. It almost made me seasick. And while you are at it please spray some WD-40 on the workings of that squeaky chair – then five stars!

  19. UbuntuHelpGuy says:

  20. ryansheet says:

oh i see…thank you for answering my questions…more power to your channel…

  21. OSGUIShow says:

1, download the *.iso cd image from a site like distrowatch . com
2, use NERO Burning ROM or ImgBurn to burn the ISO file to the CD

  22. OSGUIShow says:

    maybe
Linux does not have drivers in the way that you think of them…

they are built-in and if something does not work it will normality ask you to download something to make it work

  23. BlkBoy07 says:

how do i make an image cd???

  24. ryansheet says:

oh i see…so my laptop’s accessories (wifi, blue tooth, webcam, etc…) will work just fine using ubuntu on a dual boot without any drivers?

  25. OSGUIShow says:

yak I don’t want to install the devil
