I could see Dell picking up the novell Linux portion. They have quite a bit of cash, and they’re fairly linux friendly. I think if that happens there is potential. Also the news of Dell picking it up would be GREAT marketing for Linux.

NoSQL is not a database, it is a definition of databases that do not use SQL for their queries. Such as for example CouchDB which uses URIs.
Most often the NoSQL databases are not relational databases but are instead Key-Value stores, Document based, etc.
