		<description>If Windows itself has problems that are causing it to crash and you don&#039;t have a hardware problem, then no, the crashes will not carry over to Linux. In fact you can use Linux to access your documents/photos/music etc on your Windows partition if Windows wont boot. The distributions I&#039;d most recomment for new users would probably be some of the usual suspects - Ubuntu, Mandriva &amp; Mint are aimed at ordinary folks and are popular. Try more than one, use what you like, whatever works best for you.</description>
