In part two here, I show you install some virtual machine drivers. Unfortunately this is one of those things that is more difficult than it should be. I find almost everytime I need to install drivers for any Linux distribution I have to compile them. I believe this to be a waste of time, and that all drivers should be pre-compiled beforehand so end users do not have to fool around with the compilers, etc.
This video will show you how to get any version of Linux on your desktop or laptop:Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Mythbuntu, Xubuntu, Ubuntu Netbook remix, Kubuntu Netbook. This is 100% free and legal. This works on any version of Windows: XP, Vista, or Windows 7. This WILL NOT remove or overwrite your current OS(Operating System). The program you’ll be using is called “Wubi” which can be downloaded at “Download.com”. It installs Linux so that when you boot up your computer it lets you choose between booting up into Windows or Linux. If you want to switch just restart your computer and choose the other one.
In this video I show you how to easily clone a hard drive. to do this you’ll need a live ubuntu CD and a second hard drive. This can be used to clone any hard drive with any OS installed in it. The command is: sudo dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdb bs=1024 where sda is the hd you are copying from and sdb is the hd you’re copying to. so make sure you change those according to your setup. **You do this while booted into an Ubuntu live cd** **make sure to backup all important data before doing this as a precaution in case something goes wrong.**
