[HowTo] Install and Setup JDownloader on Ubuntu Linux
Friday, April 16th, 2010 | Author: admin

JDownloader is open source, platform independent and written completely in Java. It simplifies downloading files from One-Click-Hosters like Rapidshare.com or Megaupload.com – not only for users with a premium account but also for users who don’t pay. It offers downloading in multiple paralell streams, captcha recognition, automatical file extraction and much more. Of course, JDownloader is absolutely free of charge. Additionally, many “link encryption” sites are supported – so you just paste the “encrypted” links and JD does the rest. JDownloader can import CCF, RSDF and the new DLC files. Step 1: First you need to check multiverse repository is enabled or not after that open a terminal window and paste the following: sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin sun-java6-fonts Step 2: We are going to set the latest Java Runtine Environment to the default version sudo update-alternatives –config java Step 3: Download JDownloader to your home folder and extract it there jdownloader.org Step 4: Add a shortcut to the main menu. (Follow the tutorial) For eg: java -jar /home/tru3m0sl3m/JDownloader/JDownloader.jar

Chrome and Itunes on Ubuntu 8.10
Friday, February 12th, 2010 | Author: admin

Running Windows XP in Sun xvm Virtualbox on Ubuntu 8.10. Once you get USB support working on Virtualbox everything else is easy. Install the Virtualbox Guest Additions and you can run Virtualbox in seamless mode. Windows XP sits on top of your Ubuntu desktop and you can run any Windows XP program. You need to disable all the visual effects in Ubuntu to get it to run with no graphical glitches but the glitches don't bother me to much. Windows XP programs running: Windows Explorer Internet Explorer AVG Anti-virus Goggle Chrome Itunes – I had no problems putting in my ipod Shuffle and adding music, I even ran the restore program. I've heard it also works on the iphone and itouch but I can't guarantee it!
