  4. Shaneja says:

Hey numbnuts, open source doesn’t mean free of costs. When you buy redhat, you are paying for the service and support, not the software on the disks. Open source means you can see all the source code and can easily modify the program to fit your needs.

    great advertisements.

  12. rfcompte says:

No, that’s because people are used to what they have and are afraid to learn… That’s why!

  13. curemymind says:

to those that dont know i think and i hope im wrong lol… but what myujin is saying is that redhat says its open source yet its making u buy their linux… but its only making u buy it cuz they need the money to give u text support.. just like microsoft but unlike mirocosft redhat actually cares for u.

  14. an0nim0s says:

nope its for the people that really want to know how a system works

  15. dbremer12 says:

soooo … Linux is only for those who like linux.

    I guess that’s why it’s about a 1% market share

  16. Myujin says:

that’s y u dont need linux bcoz u dont use ur knowledge that the ad says open source, and show the red hat linux…

  17. All 3 of the red hat vids are AWESOME, and made perfect sense. Anyone with a slight amount of computer knowledge would be open to this. The red hat logo may not mean much to some, but I am sure they have seen it about in magazines, or tv, etc. Linux is the future, and proud of it. Those that truly disrespect the whole purpose of Linux are the ignorant ones, and are currently laughing at us… “hint hint”

  18. thanqu0l says:

Wonderful! Awesome! Linux in a nutshell!
    D*amned, I’m proud becoming a part of it :)

  19. miguel719 says:

Excelent video. It dont say anything about linux because it isn`t necesary. Unless you use your pc just for entertainment you should be able to recognize that icon. It`s general knowledge.

A con-feud-ing mismatched hybrid of the mac “1984″ advert and a 70′s high school science film on technology.

What questions does it answer for the customer?

  21. cossins3000 says:

wow, this advert is really quite amazing. Me and my friend are goning to design a linux

  22. LiukITA says:

This almost made me cry… :|
Impressive… no words to say.. exceptional :|

  23. illovich says:

I wonder if open source is really served well by being converted to the empty shell of marketing slogans. That said, I admit that it made me think about installing linux again =P
