scikidus.blogspot.com Recorded at around 8:00 PM EST on April 1, 2009 on Delta Flight 137 from JFK to LAX. Back story: Our flight had taxied out to the runway when a passenger fell ill. Not wanting to fly across the USA with a sick passenger, we were towed back to a gate. Since the evening is the busiest time of the day for East Coast international airports, we found our plane behind 30 others waiting to take off. In the end, it took 2 hours for our wheels to leave the ground. There were quite a lot of children on this flight, and the entertainment system was out. Here’s a recording of one of their hard reboots. Note: There was a lot of glare on the screen, so I had to use the safety guide as a shade, hence why it’s a tad dark.

Freescale was showing their reference design for sub-0 tablets at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The target is that tablets to be sold below 0 to end consumers will be able to run any Linux-based OS, including Chromium OS - based on the open-source code available at http In this video, Freescale’s product manager of Software Development demonstrates the status of their optimizations of running Chromium OS on their i.MX51 based devices, among other form factors is the recently announced 9 tablet form factor. It even supports hardware acceleration of HTML5 based video playback.
